Take Note: Notepads are the Supreme Handout

It is advised that you make door-knocking part of your campaign strategy.  It is hard to beat a good ol’ fashioned face-to-face greeting.  This is a personal touch that will be invaluable to campaign run and to your potential voters.

With this in mind, it is important to remember that people love free stuff.  So, you’d better have something to “bribe” them with.

Kill Two Handouts with One Pad

A smart and useful handout is the flyer notepad.  It is a simple concept-take a standard notepad, a flyer and glue them together.

There are two basic types of flyer notepads-one-page and two-page.  The one-page uses the first page of the pad as a bio sheet-campaign issues, slogan, election date and maybe even a flyer.  Pages 2-25 have only the campaign logo.  The two-page flyer is the same, but uses pages one and two for personal information.  You can add a resume and qualifications to page two.

Budget Buddy

Math is no fun, but this is easy.  You can buy 5000 standard notepads and 5000 flyers for $1600.00.  Or, you can buy 5000 one-page flyer note pads for $1100.00.  What are you going to do with the extra $500.00?  Maybe buy some pens.

Not junk mail

Nobody throws away a notepad.  These are useful tools because people actually use them, and pass them around.

Be smart.  Be effective.  Be noteworthy.
